Evina Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 7, 2026
Evina is a local-first iOS app for personal gluten-free travel meal checks. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app handles, how that information is used, and the choices available to you.
Information You Provide
Evina may store information that you choose to enter in the app, including gluten-free rule settings, restaurant or place names, city or area text, meal type, visit status, kitchen question answers, short evidence notes, optional evidence photos, optional kitchen voice memos, follow-up outcomes, saved dates, note status labels, reminder identifiers, and credit balance.
How Evina Uses Information
Evina uses the information you enter to show your rule settings, calculate local meal check results, organize saved safety notes, display personal saved-place lists, keep optional evidence photos and kitchen voice memos attached to local notes, prepare text exports that you request, manage credit balance, and schedule local follow-up reminders when you allow notifications. Evidence photos and voice memos are for your own record keeping and are not used to automatically identify food, inspect ingredients, or make a separate safety decision.
Local Storage
Your meal notes, rule settings, optional evidence photos, optional kitchen voice memos, follow-up state, notification identifiers, and credits are stored on your device using local app storage. If you choose a photo or voice memo before saving a safety note, Evina may keep a temporary local draft so it remains available when you return to the Check screen. The current version of Evina does not require account registration and does not sync your notes, photos, or voice memos to an Evina server.
Camera, Photo Library, and Microphone
Evina may ask for camera or photo library permission only when you choose to take or select an evidence photo for a local safety note. Evina may ask for microphone permission only when you choose to record a short kitchen voice memo for a local safety note. You can continue using meal checks without adding a photo or voice memo. Permission choices are controlled by iOS Settings.
App Tracking Transparency
On supported iOS versions, Evina may ask for permission to track activity across other companies' apps and websites. Evina uses this permission to help personalize gluten-free safety recommendations on your device and to measure ad attribution. You can allow, deny, or later change this permission in iOS Settings. Evina still works if you decline tracking.
Notifications
If you save a note that needs a follow-up, Evina may ask for permission to schedule a local reminder. Notification permission is controlled by iOS. You can allow, deny, or later change notification permission in iOS Settings. If you do not allow notifications, your saved notes remain available in the app.
Purchases
Evina may offer optional coin packs through the App Store. Purchase processing, payment information, receipts, refunds, and related account details are handled by Apple. Evina receives the purchase result from StoreKit and uses it to add credits inside the app when a transaction is verified.
Sharing and Exports
Evina can create a Trip Safety Pack or a single note export as text. Exports happen only when you choose to use the iOS share sheet. Optional evidence photos and kitchen voice memos remain in Evina's local storage and are not included in the text export. If you share exported text with another app, service, or person, that shared copy is handled outside Evina's local storage.
Third Parties
Evina uses the Adjust SDK and Adjust signature library for install and campaign attribution, and to help measure coin-pack purchase events. Adjust may receive device and attribution-related information according to your App Tracking Transparency choice and Adjust's own practices. Evina does not show in-app third-party ads and does not include social tracking SDKs. Apple may process information related to App Store purchases and system permissions according to Apple's own terms and privacy practices. You can review Adjust's privacy policy at https://www.adjust.com/terms/privacy-policy/.
Information Evina Does Not Collect
- Evina does not include public social feeds, comments, followers, private chat, or user-to-user messaging.
- Evina does not ask for account registration in the current app.
- Evina does not automatically analyze evidence photos or kitchen voice memos, and does not use them for food recognition.
- Evina does not use location services or live map search in the current app.
- Evina does not show in-app third-party ads or use social tracking SDKs.
Data Retention and Deletion
Evina keeps local app data on your device until you edit it, delete it, delete the app, or use Delete Account Data. You can use Delete Account Data in the app to remove your local rules, saved notes, optional evidence photos, optional kitchen voice memos, settings, and example notes from that device, and to reset the in-app credit balance. This action does not delete copies that you previously exported or shared outside Evina, and it does not delete attribution records already processed by Apple or Adjust.
Important Limits
Evina supports personal record keeping and restaurant conversations. It does not certify restaurants, inspect kitchens, verify ingredients, guarantee that a meal is gluten-free, replace direct communication with restaurant staff, or provide diagnosis, treatment, or emergency guidance.
Children's Privacy
Evina is not designed to collect personal information from children. The app stores user-entered meal notes locally on the device and does not provide public posting or messaging features.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy when Evina's features or data practices change. The updated date at the top will show when the policy was last revised.
